Sarasvati India ... Another way to travel in South India

Soon a trip to Sri Lanka!

Click to zoom the imageFrançoise Calvel lived in Sri Lanka in 1994/1995, has returned in 1997, 1999, 2005 ...
And she has scheduled a trip to meet with partners and preparation of the circuit in November 2011.
This island in the Indian Ocean, also known as "the pearl of the Indian Ocean," is an extraordinary wealth of its former great cities, its magnificent mountain scenery, beautiful beaches, and especially its people of a kind unique!
The fact that Françoise Calvel live in Trivandrum resonates in the creation of a trip to Sri Lanka, as it must to go 1:00 in Colombo from Trivandrum (by plane).
In addition to all those who have already discovered in South India, Sri Lanka, probably in part a real historical continuity, linguistic, and ethnic.

Why have our association called "Saraswati"?

Click to zoom the imageIn Hindu mythology, the goddess Sarasvati embodies exceptional strength, cosmic intelligence, since it works with Brahma, the father of the gods in person, to help keep control of himself. It is not surprising that it is recognized in India as the Mistress of eloquence and knowledge, the mother of arts and letters.
Relief embodies the material world by the simplicity of her appearance, she is sitting on a lotus flower near a white swan. His right hand is a vina, a kind of lute that symbolizes the agreement of the intellect and heart. In the left hand she holds a book, the Vedas. The whole thing reminded that knowledge should be used with care and kindness.
The Goddess is of course revered by students, teachers and artists of all disciplines who celebrate the fifth day of spring.
The choice of this name for an association may seem pretentious! We do not yet collect the precious qualities of Sarasvati, but are convinced that knowledge of a foreign country can not be approached with humility, especially by the bais of its cultural riches.
